Benefiel, Shirley

Previous Requests

16-May-24

Both Carl and Shirley are still dealing with constant pain. The degenerating disc in Shirley's spine continues to cause problems, although she is getting more rest since Carl modified their bed so she can use it rather than a recliner at night. However, Carl is getting very little rest because of the pain generated from his bad left hip and down his leg. Carl and Shirley would greatly appreciate your prayers for God's merciful intervention and relief. Thank you in advance for your prayers on their behalf.

Sauvola, Zilah (21)

Previous Requests

14-May-24

Zilah's accident caused the neurons in her brain to separate. In addition, the two main arteries in her neck here damaged to the point that they are continually causing strokes. After an MRI and CT scan, the doctors believe Zilah's condition will not ever change; she will not regain consciousness, nor does she have any awareness right now and is unable to breathe on her own. The family will be asking the doctors to wait seven days before taking her off life support. Nels writes,

We are beseeching God yet for a full miracle from Him in healing her. We are still hopeful for her full and a complete recovery. Regardless of what He decides, we know His will will be done and we will glorify Him. . . . We ask all the brethren of God to continue with us in prayer in the hope of our beloved daughter's restoration.

12-May-24

Please pray for Zilah Sauvola, 21, daughter of Nels Sauvola. She was in an automobile accident on Thursday and sustained multiple injuries, followed by a severe stroke due to the trauma. The doctors believe she does not have any brain activity and will not survive. They placed something into her brain yesterday to monitor if there is any activity and will know more in 5-7 days. The Sauvola and Kinnunen families would be grateful for the prayers of the brethren on Zyla's behalf and for peace and guidance in any decisions Nels and the family will need to make. Thank you.
