As we age, relationships of family and old friends can seem to slip away, leaving us alone and isolated. In modern society, loneliness is not something older people experience exclusively, but young people can experience it as well. Loneliness is a daily emotional challenge of feeling overwhelmed by debilitating silence. None of us ever expect to find ourselves living alone, separated from loved ones. Even in our loneliest moments God is there, focusing on what is best for His children. Realizing that God has chosen every one of us for a special purpose, we may consider isolation a vital key, opening our spiritual eyes to be more focused, causing our spiritual vision and understanding to become sharper and better prepared to use as a witness for the Kingdom of God. Isolation may be the tool God uses to remove external distractions from our lives enabling us to focus on our relationship with Him. Isolation allows us productive time to study God's word, getting the mind of Christ implanted in our nervous systems.
