telecast: John 8

The Difference between Believing 'on' and Believing Christ
Herbert W. Armstrong (1892-1986)
Given 08-Aug-79; Tape #RAD8094; 28 minutes

Description: (hide)

Herbert W. Armstrong contends that millions of people believe 'on' Christ, but do not believe Him or do what He says, preferring instead to follow their own pagan customs and traditions. Jesus proclaimed that to the extent people would hold to His teaching, they would be His disciples. God's Law is the spiritual mirror that reflects our flaws and spiritual blemishes, prompting us to take corrective action. Man's mind was made to require God's Holy Spirit in order to subdue the fleshly carnal impulses and voluntarily choose the godly, character-building, course of action. The booklet What is the True Gospel? was offered on this program.
