telecast: What is the True Church Like? (Part 3)

Revelation 12:1-17;17:1-6
Herbert W. Armstrong (1892-1986)
Given 03-Aug-79; Tape #RAD8092; 28 minutes

Description: (hide)

Herbert W. Armstrong reiterates that the church Jesus built neither grew into massive size, nor did it participate in political affairs (committing spiritual adultery), but instead it remained a small, scattered, and persecuted church. Christ's church, a group of called-out individuals begotten of God's Holy Spirit, has faithfully yielded to God,His correction, and His Commandments. Christ's church is metaphorically the affianced bride of Jesus Christ, submitting to His leadership. The great false church appropriates the name of Christ, but commits harlotry with the political systems of this world, who are instrumental in the persecution and martyrdom of the saints. The booklets The Plain Truth about Easter and The Resurrection was not on Sunday were offered on this program.
