telecast: What is the True Church Like? (Part 1)

Isaiah 30:9-12, 55:7, I John 2:4
Herbert W. Armstrong (1892-1986)
Given 01-Aug-79; Tape #RAD8090; 28 minutes

Description: (hide)

Herbert W. Armstrong contends that because the world's professing 'Christian' churches have rejected Christ's message and His Commandments, they have been unable to provide a stabilizing influence, let alone a moral guide for our society. Tragically, most of the world's religions have become spiritually drunk on pagan customs and traditions. The church that Jesus commissioned was commanded to come out of the world, and not to be conformed to its ways or customs. It is made up of a tiny, scattered group of called-out individuals, begotten of God's Holy Spirit, willing to yield to and be corrected by God's Word — a choice which often brings on the persecution of the world.
