telecast: Pagan Traditions and Christ's Parables

Matthew 13:11-15, Mark 4:11-12
Herbert W. Armstrong (1892-1986)
Given 08-Jun-79; Tape #RAD8052; 25 minutes

Description: (hide)

Herbert W. Armstrong contends that mankind in its natural carnal state, equipped only with the five senses, cannot receive spiritual truths. God revealed Himself to ancient Israel, but they soon became assimilated into the pagan customs and teachings of the peoples they were supposed to displace, syncretizing God's truth with heathen traditions. Modern Israel has continued partaking of this poisonous blend of Christianity and paganism, rejecting God's revealed truth while embracing pagan tradition. The booklets What is the True Gospel? and What Kind of Faith is Required for Salvation? were offered on the program.
