telecast: How to Search for Truth

Psalm 119:105, Acts 17:11
Herbert W. Armstrong (1892-1986)
Given 03-Jun-79; Tape #RAD8047; 28 minutes

Description: (hide)

Herbert W. Armstrong asks us to carefully consider how we came to believe and accept the things we do. Three barriers to truth include (1) carelessly assuming what we have always heard (including some fallacious scientific hypotheses), (2) the pernicious sheep instinct -or conformity to follow popular opinion, and (3) stubbornly holding to personal pet ideas or prejudicial beliefs. The hardest thing for anyone to do is to admit when he is wrong. Following the example of the Bereans, we must diligently search through (and be willing to be corrected by)God's Word. The Ambassador College Bible Correspondence Course was offered on this program.
