Herbert W. Armstrong reiterates that the vast number of professing 'Christians' have heard a message from men about the person of Christ, but have never heard Christ's Gospel of the Kingdom of God or the family of God, regulated by God's holy and spiritual Law, based upon love. The carnal mind is enmity against this law as well as any message suggesting we ought to obey this law. When we break God's law, we have, in effect, signed a promissory note demanding our death. Christ has offered to pay for our past penalties on the condition that we totally yield to His rule and Law - often making us unpopular with the world, but bringing us inner peace.
