feast: Hallowed Be Thy Name

The Proper Respect for God
John F. Bulharowski
Given 22-Oct-97; Tape #FT97-11

Description: John Bulharowski contends that the more we become familiar with something, the more we have the tendency to treat it with contempt or disregard. The so-called "Lord's Prayer" (the model outline Jesus gave to His disciples) has fallen into that category. The sermon takes a fresh insight on this model prayer, explaining its Millennial significance, when God's name will indeed be hallowed in the coming Kingdom of God- as the angelic beings hallow His name now. As begotten children of God, we need to honor our Heavenly Father, reflecting upon our current family relationships. We need to hallow God's name through our relationships with others, showing sacrifice, patience and selflessness to them as God the Father and Jesus Christ would. (32 minutes)
