Description: David Grabbe, citing the dramatic growth of the Berean Bible Study, with over 26,000 subscribers and over 16,000 electronic Forerunner subscriptions, realizes that we are still a drop in the bucket compared to the magnitude of the harvest. Even so, for the size of our fellowship, we are pulling our weight. The familiar scripture Matthew 24:14 is not so much a command as it is a prophecy, not saying who will do the preaching, not telling the scope of time involved, and not revealing how the gospel will be preached. Only a portion of the Gospel is directed at witnessing to the world; a far more significant phase is preparing the Bride of Christ to be worthy. It might be that the greater church of God is not yet ready to be a worthy witness to the world. Whatever method is used to preach the Gospel, God must be the source of the motivation and direction, not a man's desire to aggrandize himself doing a 'mighty work.' (17 minutes)
