Description: Brian Wulf, reflecting upon the unfortunate memories all of us who have lent something valuable only to have it never returned or returned in a damaged condition, suggests that we are obligated to exercise stewardship, especially when taking care of the property of others. Expanding upon the parable of the talents, the sermonette emphasizes that all of us are entrusted with gifts and talents bestowed by God Almighty to benefit other people. We should be known for leaving rented or borrowed property in better conditions than we found it. How we care for the property of others determines how we care for all the blessings and responsibilities that God has given us. The quality of our stewardship is determined by the minute detail we give to it, as Christ did as he folded neatly His burial shroud. As we mature in taking care of our material things, we also mature in our care of spiritual things. Everything we are, own, or have is actually on loan from God. (14 minutes)
