Description: Brian Wulf, reflecting upon the perennial problem of offending or becoming offended, identifies two principle causes of offense: (01) Pride and (02) a wounding of the heart. In Matthew 18:21, Peter, like the rest of us spoke prematurely without thinking things out, stressing action first and consequences later, offending a great many people in the process. Eric Hoffer has often suggested that weak people substitute rudeness for strength. We desperately need to overcome our useless pride, humbly submitting ourselves to the will of God. (12 minutes)
