telecast: What Is the New Covenant?

The Basic Concepts of the New Covenant/Hebrews 8:1
Herbert W. Armstrong (1892-1986)
Given 14-Aug-84; Tape #HA070B

Description: Herbert W. Armstrong compares and contrasts the Old and New Covenants, explaining both to be marriage covenants God made with the House of Israel and Abraham's descendants. Both covenants were bound by conditions and both contained promises. The Old covenant contained physical promises of wealth and prosperity, a covenant Israel and Judah broke, receiving a bill of divorce. The New Covenant, explained in Hebrews 8:10-13, is an agreement made with Abraham's spiritual heirs (the Israel of God), promising eternal life on the condition of their internalizing God's spiritual Law into the core of their very being. The booklet Where is the True Church? Was offered on this program. (30 minutes)
