Description: Herbert W. Armstrong, observing that mankind has been given the dominion over land, water, and air, all components of earthly dominion, questions mankind's present quest to extend its dominion into outer space. No matter how far he travels into outer space, mankind is essentially earthbound, and must take part of the earthly environment with him in order to survive. The desire to conquer space stems from a desire to escape from current problems. Unless man learns to conquer himself, he will be unfit to rule space, much less to rule this present world. Humankind has been fashioned to become members of the God family, whose eventual spiritual composition will equip them properly for space travel. In the meantime, we may bring our carnal human nature under control through the begettal of God's Holy Spirit, developing godly character. The booklet Why Were You Born? was offered on this program.
