telecast: Trip to Europe and Mideast (Part 2)

Ezekiel 33:32, Romans 7:14-24, 8:7-15
Herbert W. Armstrong (1892-1986)
Given 24-Jan-65; Tape #HA2149B

Description: Herbert W. Armstrong warns that if the Spirit of God does not dwell in us, we are not His. What does it mean to be led by God's Holy Spirit? As electric current illuminates a light bulb, the Holy Spirit should cause illumination in us, bringing about a radical change of thought and behavior. If we don't use or grow in the Spirit of God, the little portion we have been given will be taken from us- and we will be aborted- as reflected in the parable of the pounds. We need to be feeding and digesting God's Word (spiritual knowledge leading to understanding and the motivating faith of Christ) on a continuous daily basis, exercising God's Spirit to illuminate these truths- enabling us to be lights to the world through our behavior. A practical demonstration of using God's spirit would be to eliminate rumor- mongering and tale bearing from our fellowship. (40 minutes)
