Description: (hide)

Herbert W. Armstrong asserts that God creates in a system of duality. Initially man was created in the form and shape of God, having a perishable physical body, but his ultimate destiny is to become born into God's spiritual family. The physical phase was initiated with the first Adam, receiving a spirit imparting intellect, but lacking God's Holy Spirit (the source of eternal life). The spiritual phase was initiated with Jesus Christ, the second Adam, the first born of many brethren, serving as the template, pioneer, or forerunner, demonstrating to called-out individuals the process of developing righteous godly character through the exercising of God's Holy Spirit. Man's ultimate destiny is co-rulership over God's entire creation- the vastness of the universe. The booklets Why Were You Born? and What Do You Mean- The Kingdom of God? were offered on this program.
